AWR PLUS SERIES PRE-CONFIGURED MACHINE TENDING SOLUTIONS

Automate faster with the AWR Plus Series — standardized, pre-configured CNC machine tending cells designed to reduce engineering time, shorten lead times, and simplify installation. Available in Conveyor, Drawer, and Pallet solutions.

Proven Pre-Engineered CNC Machine Tending Backed by Real-World Experience

The Plus Series is the result of AWR's experience designing, building, and testing conveyor, drawer, and pallet-based CNC machine tending cells across a wide range of applications. Over time, those projects revealed a clear pattern: depending on the configuration, many of the same components, layouts, and functions were being engineered repeatedly.

We set a clear target: deliver a Plus Series platform that covers roughly 80% of machine tending applications with pre-engineered, standardized configurations — with flexible options to adapt for one or two CNC machines. The Plus Series removes unnecessary complexity,  allowing manufacturers to scale automation while keeping operations, training, and support consistent across your floor.

What's Standard with Every Plus Series CNC Automation Cell?

Each Plus Series configuration starts with a proven foundation: an 80% pre-engineered, fully tested platform built for one or two CNC machine tending cells. This platform is built on AWR's experience in designing, building, and validating CNC automation systems — identifying what consistently works across applications and standardizing it. The remaining 20% is solution-based, allowing the system to be configured around your CNC automation goals.

This consistency makes it easier for CNC manufacturers to support the cell long-term, minimizing training time, and reducing reliance on specialized programming while maintaining reliable performance across shifts and part changes.

What Does 80% Pre-Engineered Mean for Your CNC Automation Timeline?

CNC manufacturers can avoid the delays and uncertainty of starting from scratch with AWR's pre-configured Plus Series machine tending solutions. With 80% of the cells, the core elements of the automation,  are already defined, tested, and proven before a project begins.

AWR-FASTDEPLOYMENT-ICON
Faster Quoting Process

Our team has experience with various quoted cells and can provide a quote for a new/custom configuration within days.

AWR-QUICKCLOCK-ICON
Shorter Lead Times
AWR's lead time is as little as 10 to 12 weeks, and it's driven by robot availability.

Simple, Quick Installations

It takes 1 week to install, 1 week to start up a part number, and 1 week for production training.

Custom Configurable Options for Plus Series Machine Tending

The Plus Series is standardized where it matters, but still flexible enough to adapt to your specific CNC automation application. Optional enhancements allow you to add capability only where it delivers value, without over‑engineering the entire system.

MAN-SAFE GUARDING Allow your operators to safely interact with the automation cell while maintaining productivity and supporting safer loading and unloading.
VISION SYSTEMS Enables the robot to locate, identify, and pick parts accurately, even when part position or orientation varies, improving flexibility and reducing the need for precise part presentation.
PART HANDLING EXCHANGE Exchanging end-of-arm tooling lets the robot switch EoAT to handle different part sizes or processes, ultimately supporting multi-part production.
DEBUR SYSTEMS Integrating secondary finishing operations directly into the automation cell to reduce manual labor while improving part consistency and throughput.
PART MARKING Enables automated identification during the machine tending process to support quality-tracking and traceability requirements.
BARCODE SCANNING / TRACEABILITY

Allows you to track your parts throughout the production process to meet quality and compliance goals.

CUSTOM PALLET SIZES Custom pallet size options if the standard AWR PC+ pallets don't accommodate your unique part dimensions, quantities, or material flow.
CUSTOM CONTACT TOOLING Magnetic or vacuum contact tooling provides alternative gripping solutions for parts that are too difficult to handle with traditional EoAT.
