While researching automated CNC machine tending integrators, Dimension focused on selecting a trustworthy vendor. Initially, Dimension was nervous about potential delays and the financial costs. Since DM had previously purchased all of its machine tools from Gosiger, Dimension Machine felt that Automation Within Reach would be no different in terms of service. 

Once AWR completed installing the Flex Series DC-2, Dimension Machined experienced a few challenges, such as chip control, alignment, programming issues, and general “how do I do this” questions. The AWR team assisted them in clearing up all issues and helped Dimension evaluate bigger-picture challenges to prevent them from arising in the future.

After integrating a CNC lathe tending robot, Dimension Machine experienced a fundamental shift in its changeover operations and manufacturing capacity. The AWR Flex Series DC-2 automation system eliminated this constraint—requiring minimal changeover time while enabling more frequent part transitions. This operational transformation delivered measurable results: setup frequency increased alongside parts completion rates, while continuous 24-hour operations boosted overall production by 40-60%.
