The decision was driven by the RC-1’s intuitive template-based programming, enabling anyone to configure the cell within minutes. The support provided by AWR and the seamless integration with their Okuma LB3000 MYW further affirmed their choice. “Support was available to begin utilizing the RC-1 on day one,” added Pulsifer.

The Results

The implementation of the RC-1 has transformed Octane Workholding’s operations. The company has seen increased production, improved resource allocation, and the ability to offer more competitive quotes. “Our customers have sent us more work because we can offer competitive quotes. The RC-1 can produce parts after everyone has gone home for the day,” noted Pulsifer. The automation has allowed Octane Workholding to run lights out, increasing overall efficiency and freeing up machinists for higher-level tasks.
